Kriminalvården is a government agency that, together with the police, prosecutors, and courts, is responsible for reducing crime and increasing people's safety. The majority of those sentenced to correctional services are in probation. Probation is correctional service that takes place in society, where a sentence in probation involves both control and support for the convicted. The probation service is growing, we are receiving new and more extensive assignments and are now looking for new employees to fulfill various roles in our societal mission.

The Probation Service Södertörn in Huddinge and the Probation Service Sollentuna are part of the operational area of the Probation Service in Stockholm County. Together, the two offices have approximately 240 full-time equivalents distributed among a probation manager, correctional inspectors, decision support, probation inspectors, correctional workers, and administrators. Both offices are located near bus and commuter train stations.

Interviews will be held on January 26 and 27, 2026, at the Probation Service Södertörn.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of security officer at the probation service in Stockholm County - Huddinge is an exciting and central specialist function where you work both operationally and as management support in security matters.

In security-related matters concerning the entire operational area, you will work closely with the security officer at the probation service in Sollentuna. The assignment consists of developing and ensuring the quality of the probation service's internal security work, including systematic fire protection work (SBA) and technical/physical security. You will conduct risk analyses and reports, as well as identify needs and propose relevant protective measures. You will work with overarching development issues but also have operational tasks and support with knowledge and documentation for assessments in individual client cases.

The assignment also includes identifying training and exercise needs within the security area and also educating and producing knowledge-enhancing materials. You will have an active role in both internal and external processes and alternate between operational tasks and long-term development work. You will collaborate with Kriminalvården's headquarters, the police, and other actors in the justice chain.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has the ability to think strategically and has a broad perspective on issues. You work well with complex issues and analyze the long-term significance and further consequences of matters and adapt your actions accordingly.

The role requires good collaboration with colleagues and other actors. You take great responsibility for your tasks and have a good ability to drive processes forward. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed upper secondary education.
• Experience of qualified security work within Kriminalvården or another authority.
• The ability to express oneself well in speech and writing in Swedish.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience as a conflict management instructor.
• Several years of experience in qualified security work from Kriminalvården's operations or another part of the justice system.
• Practical experience in areas such as systematic fire protection work, information security, and technical-physical security.
• Experience of internal and external collaboration and good knowledge of the tasks of collaborating authorities.
• Good knowledge of all components of dynamic security.
